Flowers Everywhere

I mainly make collages and mixed-media pieces, and when I started looking through the materials in my studio, I found many items that featured either flowers or floral motifs. These included swatches of textiles, handmade paper and greeting cards, and, of course, in dozens of catalogues for bulbs and plants. I found all of these materials hard to resist, so I incorporated as many as I could into a multi-layered collage. And as I worked, I kept thinking of the lyrics of the old Cowsills song, "The Rain, the Park, and Other Things"--"flowers in her hair, flowers everywhere...."
